have you heard of san gimignano?

none of the tour guides mentioned the sunflower fields on the way to san gimignano!

it was the towers that drew my attention to this small walled hill town in tuscany.

it was so well preserved that it felt like being in a medieval hill town.

and sometimes like j k rowling’s diagon alley!

it had the airy piazzas, enormous basilicas, addicting gelatos, the most amazing pizzas.

and small stores with pretty little things.

i wonder if real people live there still!

it feels like they do.

i wonder what the townsfolk must feel

when their space is invaded  by swarms of tourists!
